Position Overview
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within a food manufacturing facility, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are maintained to meet safety and operational standards. This role involves managing a team of maintenance technicians, coordinating repair and maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with USDA regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and lead the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective repairs and maintenance of equipment.
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
Ensure compliance with USDA regulations and safety standards in all maintenance operations.
Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repair work performed on equipment.
Manage budgets and resources for maintenance operations to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a maintenance supervisory or management role, preferably in food manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of USDA regulations and compliance related to food production.
Experience with maintenance of equipment used in meat processing or food manufacturing.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
